It was at the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she had one of the most memorable moment in the history of sports and that was the very first perfect 10 on the asymmetrical bars. In addition, Comaneci scored six more 10s perfect and made her 14 years old, the youngest Olympic medallist in every category. The accomplishment of Nadia Comaneci was not only to get international attention, but she also helped put Romania in the spotlight. By achieving a feat that was unattainable, the sporting icon created a legend and promoted athletics across the globe. Moreover, it changed the people's perspective of female athletes. The effect she had on Olympics was so great that two of her movements including the toe-on and release, are designated in honor of her. Both have been rated as difficult to the highest level.
